Acceptance of Terms

Tampa Bay Tech Week (“TBT Week,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and all related events, programs, and activities (collectively, the “Events”) are subject to the following Terms and Conditions (“Terms”).

For purposes of these Terms, “Attendee” includes all participants in the Events, including ticket holders, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, partners, volunteers, staff, and guests.

By registering for, attending, or otherwise participating in any Tampa Bay Tech Week event, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Acceptance of these Terms is required to complete registration and is binding, ongoing, and irrevocable. Failure to comply may result in denial of entry, removal from an Event, or cancellation of registration without refund or compensation.

Tampa Bay Tech Week reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued participation in the Events constitutes acceptance of any updated Terms.

 

Right of Admission

Tampa Bay Tech Week reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse admission, revoke access, limit participation, or remove any individual from an Event at any time. This includes, but is not limited to, violations of these Terms, the Code of Conduct, venue policies, or applicable laws.

Tampa Bay Tech Week is not responsible for any damages, refunds, or compensation related to these actions.

 

Event Code of Conduct

Tampa Bay Tech Week is committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all participants. 

The Code of Conduct applies to all in-person and digital components of the Events, including sessions, networking activities, social events, and online platforms.

Unacceptable behavior includes, but is not limited to:

● Harassment, discrimination, or intimidation of any kind

● Disruptive, disrespectful, or abusive conduct

● Behavior that interferes with the experience of others

Harassment or discrimination based on age, race, color, gender identity or expression, national origin, disability, religion, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic will not be tolerated.

If you experience or witness inappropriate behavior, please notify event staff or contact info@tampabaytechweek.com. Violations may result in removal from the Event without refund.

 

Privacy & Personal Data

Tampa Bay Tech Week respects your privacy.

We collect personal information provided during registration and participation for purposes including event operations, communications, scheduling, networking features, and attendee engagement.

● We do not sell attendees' personal data

● We may use your information to communicate about Tampa Bay Tech Week events and related programming

● Attendees may opt in to receive communications from sponsors or partners

● You may update or delete your information through the registration platform; deletion may result in cancellation of your registration

 

By registering for or attending an Event, you agree to the collection and use of your information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

 

Networking & Attendee Interactions

Tampa Bay Tech Week may offer digital platforms or mobile applications that enable networking, messaging, or profile sharing among attendees.

By opting into these features, you acknowledge that:

● Information you share may be visible to other participants

● Tampa Bay Tech Week is not responsible for interactions between attendees

● Your use of these features is subject to the Code of Conduct

 

Photography, Video & Recordings

Events may be photographed, filmed, livestreamed, or recorded.

By attending, you grant Tampa Bay Tech Week and its authorized partners permission to capture and use your image, voice, name, and likeness in photographs, video, and audio recordings (“Recordings”) for event documentation, marketing, promotional, and archival purposes, without compensation.

Unauthorized recording or photography of sessions or presentations by attendees is prohibited without prior written consent.

 

Consent, Release & License

You grant Tampa Bay Tech Week a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable license to use any Recordings containing your likeness for lawful Event-related purposes, including marketing and promotion.

You release Tampa Bay Tech Week from any claims related to rights of publicity, privacy, defamation, or similar causes of action arising from the use of such Recordings.

 

Government Employees & Ethics Compliance

If you are a government employee, public official, or employed by a government-owned or controlled entity, you are solely responsible for ensuring that your participation in the Events and acceptance of any benefits complies with applicable laws, ethics rules, and organizational policies.

 

Assumption of Risk

Attendance at Tampa Bay Tech Week is voluntary. You assume all risks related to participation, including personal injury, illness, loss, or damage to personal property.

 

Force Majeure

Tampa Bay Tech Week is not responsible for failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to weather events, natural disasters, public health emergencies, government actions, labor disputes, or venue-related issues.

In such cases, Tampa Bay Tech Week may cancel, reschedule, or modify Events without liability. All tickets are non-refundable; tickets will be honored for rescheduled dates when applicable.

 

Payment Terms

Submission of registration constitutes intent to attend.

● All tickets are non-refundable

● No open invoicing unless explicitly approved

● Tampa Bay Tech Week does not accept cash payments onsite unless required by law

In the event of a payment dispute, registration records may be used as evidence of a valid charge.

 

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tampa Bay Tech Week disclaims all warranties, express or implied.

Under no circumstances shall Tampa Bay Tech Week or its partners be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from participation in the Events, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
